Delivery and customs clearance
Delivery and customs clearance are multi-stage and complex processes, but we streamline them to reduce costs and offer the most advantageous solutions for our clients.
With extensive experience in international logistics, we have delivered furniture to destinations worldwide and processed thousands of shipping and customs documents.
Our goal is to optimize every stage of the process and make it as simple and convenient for you as possible.
Procedure
Customs clearance consists of two stages: registration in China and registration in the destination country.
About a week before container shipment, we finalize the document details together with the client’s customs broker.
Procedures may vary depending on the destination country and port, and customs rates or delivery costs can change based on the requirements of local customs authorities or logistics operators.
Timeframe
Customs clearance usually takes 1–2 days.
Costs
To estimate customs fees in the destination country, we prepare a packing list based on the detailed furniture specifications provided by suppliers.
The final customs fee depends on the type of goods, classified by HS code, and their declared value.
Container delivery process
Once payment for the goods is completed in full, the transportation and customs clearance process begins.
- Customs document processing in China
- Container loading
- Payment for container shipping
- Transporting the container to the port
- Customs declaration at the Chinese port
- Loading the container onto the ship
- Sea delivery to the nearest port
- Port fees in the destination country (not included in the delivery cost)
- Telex release or original Bill of Lading, depending on the customs requirements of the destination country, sent to the client after full payment for delivery to the destination port
- Transfer of cargo responsibility to the client’s customs broker

How can I estimate the cost of customs clearance?
Simply send your Packing List, containing all the details of your order and goods, to the chosen customs clearance broker for an estimation.
At what stage should I choose a broker?
We recommend contacting brokers in your country during the product selection stage before placing an order because customs duties for different types of products can vary significantly. It's crucial to decide what you'll be buying in advance. Over the years, we've built a database of experienced brokers worldwide and can provide you with contacts for specialists in your country.
HS code (Harmonized System) is a classification of goods used in customs operations. For example, a leather sofa on a wooden base has one code, while a sofa on a metal base has another. Import and export duty rates depend on the HS code to which the product belongs.
