In most cases, returns are costly, and once goods leave the manufacturer’s warehouse, Chinese factories usually consider this as confirmation of your acceptance.
That is why we carry out meticulous inspections before accepting goods for further transportation and take full responsibility for ensuring your products meet high quality standards.
Key steps
Once the goods are produced, our QC officers visit the factory to conduct a detailed inspection. Each product is assessed according to the following criteria:
- Order accuracy: verification of form, color, shape, material, and quantity against the order
- Integrity: checking for any visible damage
- Usage traces: inspection for any signs of prior use
- Material consistency: for example, ensuring sofa filling is evenly soft without gaps beneath the fabric
- Seams accuracy: checking upholstered furniture seams for evenness and straightness
- Surface quality: inspecting wooden and metal items for scratches, splinters, holes, dots, and galvanization defects
- Paint quality: evaluating paint consistency and uniformity
- Measurements: confirming dimensions, especially for customized items, match the approved drafts
- Ceramics: checking for chips and scratches
- Hot tubs and mini-swimming pools: testing functionality with water
If any defects or damage are detected, we negotiate with the manufacturer to resolve the issue or arrange a remake if necessary. Our quality assurance process is designed to ensure that you receive products that match your expectations and specifications.

Can I place an order in China myself and you will check the quality?
If you place an order in China independently and use our service solely for delivery, we do not conduct quality control for these goods. In this case, rhfactory takes responsibility only for customs clearance and shipping but does not guarantee the quality of products purchased from other suppliers.
I would like to buy some items myself, can you help me with delivery and customs clearance?
Yes, in this case, you can independently purchase goods in China up to 10% of the container volume. However, we do not conduct quality checks on self-purchased items. Consequently, we are only responsible for the safe delivery of the cargo and customs procedures. At the same time, we are very careful with all the packages and boxes that arrive at our warehouse, we make a detailed photo report that shows the state of the package in which the goods have arrived at our place.
What are the most common defects?
The most common quality issues with Chinese suppliers include paint peeling from wood, damages during transportation, uneven surfaces in upholstered furniture, and occasional order inaccuracy. Minor inaccuracies are typically fixed on the day of inspection, while items requiring more significant modifications are sent for restoration.
What if I receive damaged furniture?
If we didn't notice the defect during the quality inspection, or if damages occurred during container loading, we offer the customer two options to choose from: we will either send another instance of the product free of charge or provide a full 100% refund of the item's cost.
